Code for Classroom Behaviour

  • Arrive on time to lessons and enter the room quietly.
  • Be ready for the teacher to start the lesson.
  • Remain in your seat unless asked to move.
  • Come to lessons properly equipped.
  • Listen carefully to all instructions given by the teacher.
  • Ask for further help if you do not understand.
  • Raise your hand before speaking.
  • Look after all school equipment and furniture.
  • Treat others, their work and equipment with respect.
  • Talk to others without shouting; use language which is neither abusive nor offensive.
  • Hand in all homework properly completed and on time.
  • Wear correct school uniform at all times.  Do not wear jackets in the classroom.
  • The following items are banned:
    • Matches, lighters and cigarettes;
    • Knives;
    • Any illegal substances.
