Throughout this term, the pupils of Abersychan have been collecting Harvest Hampers in their form classes to be distributed among members of the local community who were nominated by parents and Bron Afon to receive one.

We were able to collect 15 hampers that were delivered around our local community from Blaenafon to Varteg, Garndiffaith, Talywain, Pentwyn, Cwmffrwdoer and Pontnewynydd on Friday 18th November.

Helping Mr Evans to deliver the hampers were Laura Price, the Head Girl, Scott Daley, the Head Boy, and their deputies, Ceri-Anne Boucher and Tomos Evans.  The 15 recipients of our hampers were delighted and very touched that we, at Abersychan School, had stopped to think about them. The four pupils who helped to deliver the hampers were touched by the gratitude they received.

We hope that next year we’ll be able to collect and distribute even more!
