Jared Rosser – Record Breaker

After captaining the all-conquering Year 8 rugby team to the Gwent Championship, Jared Rosser has reached new heights in athletics track and field. In the recent Gwent athletics championships Jared won the 200 metres (breaking the county record), the shot putt and was part of the winning relay team which also included Llewellyn Clarke, Sam Watkins and Liam Fears. Jared followed this success at Abersychan’s Sports Day by winning and breaking records in both the 100 metres and the shot putt. The 100 metres record had been held by his father!

Abersychan Sports Day concluded a remarkable year for Abersychan pupils in a variety of sports, demonstrating again the marvellous talent that has realised its potential at the school.
